- More case evaluation requests from lawyers
Project Overview
Ioannis D. Makris, M.Sc., is a Forensic Document, Handwriting and Language Technology Evidence Examiner with more than 34 years of experience, including 18 years at the Forensic Science Division of the Hellenic Police, with specialist training at the FBI and BKA.
His audience is almost exclusively lawyers and law firms, an audience that advertising language cannot persuade. The website had to speak the language of documentation: who he is, how he works, what he can prove.
The Goal
In forensic expertise, the client is not buying a service, they are entrusting a case. The expert's credibility is the product.
The main goals were:
- to document the examiner's scientific standing with the CV at the centre of the site,
- each service explained through its methodology, not generalities,
- lawyers' frequent questions answered before they even call,
- clarity about who the office serves, and through which channel,
- one clean path to a case evaluation request.
What We Built
We built a website with a dark, institutional aesthetic: courthouse marble, ink and handwriting motifs, and typography closer to a scientific report than an advertising page.
The website includes:
- a homepage stating who the office serves (lawyers, companies, private cases, contracts and wills),
- the three-stage examination methodology, from microscopic observation to spectroscopy,
- three service pages: document examination, digital evidence, audio and image analysis,
- a CV page with the academic background and the Forensic Science Division career,
- an FAQ with eight real questions from lawyers and clients,
- a request form with GDPR consent and reCAPTCHA, beside every service,
- a persistent contact strip with phone numbers and email on every page.
Key Features
Every item below, on the real screen it lives on.

- 01
Services as science, not as a list
Three pillars with real equipment and methodology: document and handwriting examination, digital evidence, audio and image. Each card leads to its own page with the procedure in detail.

- 02
Every service with its own form
Each service page pairs the description of the examination with a request form alongside it. The lawyer who understood what they need never has to search for where to ask.

The CV as evidence
34 years of experience, 18 years at the Forensic Science Division, training at the FBI and BKA. The CV page is the site's strongest exhibit, with the examiner's career documented chronologically.

Institutional presence on mobile too
The dark aesthetic with the marble facades carries intact to the small screen, with the office phone numbers always one tap away.

Project Outcome
The website gives the office what its audience needs most: documentation. A visiting lawyer understands within minutes who the examiner is, how he works and what he can prove, and the evaluation request always sits right beside the answer.
